Working Mother and Shook Research rank these advisors based on the volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their team, revenues generated for the firm, and the quality of the advisors’ practices.
“We are extremely proud of Kirsten for representing UBS and our working mothers on this prestigious list," commented Ian MacNeill, Executive Director and Branch Manager of the Downtown Boston UBS Financial Services Inc. "Kirsten has worked to build a successful career as a Financial Advisor, and has demonstrated her dedication to family and ambition as a working mother."
Working Mother is an editorial publication in both print and digital format that provides guidance and highlights the successes of working mothers who are dedicated to building their careers and supporting their families at the same time. SHOOK Research is an organization that seeks to recognize outstanding leaders in the financial industry through a series of specially devised criteria meant to find those in our field who are going above and beyond.
50 UBS Financial Advisors have been recognized on this year's list. In just two years, UBS has more than doubled its presence on this list. Additionally, UBS has been named for the 11th time to Working Mother's 100 Best Companies list. UBS has been recognized for their ongoing commitment to forward-thinking workplace programs in the areas of women's advancement, parental leave, family support, flexibility and career development. This year, UBS has been ranked first for their gender-neutral parental leave policies.
SHOOK Research considered wealth advisors who are mothers with at least one child living at home and under the age of 21. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures derived from telephone and in-person interviews and surveys: service models, investing process, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, etc.; and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC and not indicative of future performance or representative of any one client's experience. Neither SHOOK nor Working Mother receive compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking.
